HOW TO GET THERE ...

The Snowy Mountains are located in the south-eastern corner of New South Wales and are easily accessible by car.

From Sydney ... it is an easy drive down the Hume Expressway. Before reaching Yass, turn left for Canberra/Cooma and follow the signs to Cooma. Upon leaving Cooma, you have the option of taking the Kosciuszko Road to Jindabyne, Thredbo & Perisher Valley or, taking the Snowy Mountains Highway to Adaminaby and on into the northern end of the Kosciuszko National Park.

From Melbourne ... take the Hume Highway to Albury/Wodonga. You can then leave Wodonga on the Murray Valley Highway for Tallangatta, Corryong and Khancoban. Travelling from Khancoban to Jindabyne over the Alpine Way is a true alpine experience.
